My Heart Jumped

Some of the fine upstanding people in DC have realized the public openly dislikes this war. And so we got a bill passed to pull out of Iraq (in 2008, but whatever) So are we actually getting out? well, probably not. GWB can still veto the bill. And he will. But at least it shows that we're getting through to them.

Yes, I know. Gnarfle is turning into a anti-WII blog. I might write about something else at some other point. But hey, no one reads this anyway, right?

The British pulled out of Iraq. Why haven't we? Dubya is sending more troops over. He seems to think that the lack of british support is a good reason to continue the War in Iraq.

Here's Hoping

I want Barack Obama to run for president next year. I also wold like him to win. I really think he cold do a great deal in office, and he shares a large number of my political views. First and foremost, he's a critic of the War in Iraq. And from what I hear, he's great guy. So here's hoping.

It'll Probably Turn Into One Of Those Emo Blogs

Because right now, I'm not gonna write something that lists sources, proof, or anything else that adds to it's crediblity.

But here we go. George W. Bush.
What is your problem?

He sent us to Afghanistan after WMD. When it appeared there wern't any there, He said we were trying to run the Taliban out and find al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
And then he lost bin Laden. I won't blame all of that on him. I'm sure the military goofed a time or two, and I'm sure other people didn't make things easy.
But we failed to get bin Laden. Which means he needed a new goal. Something else to keep the american public supporting his war.
It turned out to be Iraq.
I imagine he kinda threw a dart at at a map of the Middle East and it landed on Iraq.
Cause now we're in Iraq, fighting, wait wait... Saddam Hussein, more WMD, aha! here we go.
We are in Iraq, fighting terror. No, not just a evil terrorist leader, not just a bunch of crazy dudes with nukes who are trying to kill us, no, we're fighting "terror"
Dubya, as he is so quaintly called, is trying to wipe terroerists off the map.
The problem with this strategey is that every time we kill an Iraqi, be they innocent bystander or Insurgent Militant, there are most likly two or three other able bodied young men who want Americans dead. We create enemies by destroying our current enemies.

Now I'm not saying it' a good thing that terrorists were ruling Iraq. I'm ot saying Iraq doesn't want to be a free country.
I'm not saying we aren' doing some people good.
(And above all, I am in no way claiming to know anything for sure.
I just call it as I see it.)

I'm willing to wager we could have done it without killing a very large number of people.
I don't hink I'll even finsih writing this. I'll save the later half for another day. Y'see, I don't write coherently when I'm outraged.
Damnit BUsh, getus out of the Middle East. Please?

What? Another Nosense Named Blog?

Yes. It is. Gnarlfe is a random attempt to keep Snoikle free of rants, raves, and insults (that aren't Lego related at least).

I have to warn you. It'll be the worst of blogger rolled into one nasty package. And I don't expect to make friends with it. But some things are just fun to write about.

In the Near Future:
-A Rant About GWB and the War in Iraq (3,000 and counting)
-A Review of the aptly named Reveiw'd (SOmething about the first amendmant, but wait, we don't get our say? Nick likes to delete comments that he doesn't like the sound of)
And some other fun bullshit. So stay tuned.
